POLARIS Project

Prehospital OnLine Active Reporting Information System (POLARIS)

POLARIS is a Utah Department of Health, Bureau of Emergency Services web project. The POLARIS systems creates a web portal allowing EMS agencies to enter their data (run reports) using the Internet. All data entered through the Internet is collected on a statewide level. POLARIS is a tool allowing all EMS agencies to be in compliance with the Utah Administrative Rule R426-7-2. All submitted data is kept confidential and use of a secure network is used for the submission of data. The data collected supports:

• Quality improvement for services, ultimately decreasing morbidity and mortality for the people EMS serves.
